DRDO recruitment 2019 for JRF

DRDO recruitment 2019 is now being conducted at the Research and Innovation Centre (RIC), Chennai for two JRF vacancies at the Defence Research and Development Organisation’s center.


 RIC is a center for excellence involved in research activities in the field of technology with the association of eminent institutes like IIT, IIIT, IISc, NIT, and so on. Candidates will be engaged for a temporary period of two years, which is extendable. Those selected for the DRDO JRF vacancy would be eligible for a monthly stipend of Rs 31,000.

Who can Apply for the DRDO JRF Vacancy?

According to the official notification issued on the DRDO website, there are two DRDO JRF vacancies of which one is for candidates with a BE or BTech in electrical and electronics engineering degree in first class with valid GATE score and or ME or MTech in electrical and electronic engineering, microelectronics, sensor technology, materials science, or nano-technology with first class both at graduate and postgraduate degree with valid GATE/NET score.

Desirable is for the candidate to have work experience in handling various MEMS design tools, readout ASIC GATE score and fabrication process techniques. Another DRDO JRF vacancy is for candidates with a BE or BTech in electronics and communication in first class with a valid GATE score.

The notification mentions that it is an added advantage for a candidate to have knowledge of the basics of digital electronics and design flow as well as being familiar with ‘C’ language and MATLAB programming.

Candidates will be needed to fill in an application form available on the official DRDO website post the same along with self-attested copies of educational qualifications and experience, which should reach The Director, Research and Innovation Centre (RIC), i5th Floor, IITM Research Park Kanagam Road, Taramani, Chennai 600113 before 30 November 2019.
